Hi Andy, What exactly do you use your Exchange Server for? If it only picks up your vacuumdoctor.com.au email and sends email uing your ISP's outgoing mail server you are correct in assuming that you can have Gmail do this for you. In this case you can get rid of Exchange and possibly save some money. However if you use Exchange for anything else the picture might be a little bit more complicated... Cheers, Anders

Hi, I've managed to work my way thru the POP3 & that seems to be going smoothly. However, now I've got to a laptop running Outlook 2010 (A brand new install this week) HOWEVER, we use Microsoft Exchange. I couldn't see how we would connect to it. I have a sneaking suspicion I know the answer though. Exchange is in our case almost doing what the Gmail account is. Because it utilises an address of ours from our ISP (Iinet) which sends & recieves emails as though they are from vacuumdoctor.com.au server. Hence I think I have to dump the Exchange & use our Iinet address into Gmail as a POP3 & hence go with your solution, or is there an option to get the Echange server to do what the Gmail account is doing & accept the other 3 POP 3 accounts I've run thru Gmail already. I would appreciate any further help you could give me. Kind regards, Andy

I try to import my contacts into Outlook via a csv-file, but I don't know how to do that. Outlook tells me that I have to do it via Business Contact Manager, which I can use for 20 days (left). Even as Administrator BCM doesn't appear. Is there an other way to import contacts from Gmail (or from Thunderbird 3)?

Hi Jay, To synchronize Outlook with Thunderbird you'll need to download the (free) Essential Guide to Thunderbird and the add on guide to Outlook (or vice versa). The videos will also show you how this all works. If you have multiple email addresses you'll need the Advanced Guides but start with the Essential guides. If you have any problems once you've followed the guides please post on the forum and we'll be glad to help. cheers, Kerry
