How does it work?
-
All your emails are downloaded to a Gmail server. They are available from any computer with an internet connection.
-
Gmail is then synchronized with your own computers using your choice of email client: Microsoft Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Entourage, Windows Mail and many others.
-
You download copies of the emails to any computer on which you wish to work offline.
-
On your own computers you use your usual email client.
-
When using any other computer you use Gmail.
The result is the same: no matter which computer you use – you can access all your emails whether read or unread, sent or received, filed or in the inbox.
