To Export your contacts:

Note! Click on the images to see a larger version.

  • Go to File → Import and Export...
    01_import_export

  • Select Export to a file.
    Click Next.
    Export file

  • Select Comma Separated Values (Windows).
    Click Next.
    Csv

  • Select the Contacts folder.
    Make sure you select the correct Contacts folder if there is more than one.
    Click Next.
    Contact

  • Pick a location and a name for the file.
    Click Next.
    Next

  • Click Finish.
    Finish

The resulting file can now be imported in Gmail or another email client.
