Easy-Email

This article explains how to setup Outlook 2007 for email synchronization. You will be guided through modifying your existing accounts (if you have any) and configuring Outlook 2007 to synchronize with Gmail.

At this point you should have completed the setup of Gmail for email synchronization.

You can choose to download a copy of your emails so you can work offline as well. This means you will be able to read and respond to emails when you are on a plane or a train for instance. Once you get an internet connection again your emails will be sent.

You can choose which emails to have a local copy of on your computer by adjusting the Synchronization Settings.

This article discusses how you can modify these settings.

If you have your old emails stored in Outlook you will probably want to copy them to Gmail. This will make the emails available to any client you synchronize with Gmail.

This is easy to do.

Initially you setup email synchronization without making changes to your old email setup. This allows you to try out Easy-Email without affecting the way you used to do email.
When you have decided which solution is right for you, you need to turn off either your old email setup or the Easy-Email setup. This section explains how to turn off an email account.

Gmail’s spam filter will examine all your incoming email.
This means you can turn off the Outlook 2007 spam filter.

It is easy to copy the contacts you have stored on Outlook 2007 to Gmail or other email clients.

It is easy to copy the contacts you have stored on another email client into Outlook.

First you export them from the other client, then you import them into Outlook.

To create a signature follow these steps:

Gmail organizes emails in threads. Responses to an email are grouped with the original email making it easy to follow an entire conversation.

In Outlook email threads are called conversations.

Gmail saves sent mail for us automatically. We will now stop Outlook 2007 from saving another copy locally.
